Alpha Terms
1. The alpha
Damask is pre-release software. It's offered free of charge during the alpha so you can evaluate it and help us improve it. It's under active development, so expect changes, rough edges, and frequent updates (the app updates itself). We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time.
2. Your licence to use it
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Damask on Macs you own or control, for your own evaluation and use during the alpha. Damask is proprietary; we keep all rights not expressly granted. Please don't:
- sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app or its DMG;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble it, except to the extent the law says you may;
- remove or alter any proprietary notices, or pass it off as your own.
Damask runs the claude CLI and works alongside Claude Code, which is Anthropic's software governed by Anthropic's own terms. Your use of Claude Code, and any usage or costs it incurs, are between you and Anthropic.
3. No warranty
Damask is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You run it at your own risk. You're responsible for your code, your commits, your git worktrees, and your backups; review what any agent does before relying on it.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, zyxt labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, work, profits, or time, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Damask. Since the alpha is free, our total liability to you is limited accordingly.
5. Your data & privacy
Damask is local-first: it runs on your Mac and transmits nothing about you or your code to us, apart from a version-only update check. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
6. Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms as Damask evolves — in particular when paid licensing arrives. The current version always lives at damask.dev/terms.html. Continuing to use Damask after a change means you accept the updated terms.
